Domestic Gas Installation in Limpopo & South Africa

Gasworx & Installations installs LP gas systems in homes: neatly, safely and to SANS 10087. We operate out of Polokwane, Limpopo (cylinder depot in Senwabarwana), and install across South Africa and neighbouring countries. Every job ends with a Certificate of Compliance, which you need for insurance and when you sell the property.

Why switch to gas at home

Gas appliances tend to cost less to run, heat up faster and keep working during load shedding. The trade-off is that they need a compliant installation and a periodic safety inspection, which is where we come in.

The process

How a home installation works

1

Site inspection

We check your layout, existing set-up and safety requirements.

2

Quotation and design

A clear quote built around your appliances.

3

Installation

Licensed gas fitters install pipework, regulators and cylinders to specification.

4

Pressure testing and commissioning

We test the system, purge it and confirm every appliance runs safely.

5

Certificate of Compliance

Issued on completion.

How long does it take? A domestic stove or geyser installation is usually done within half a day to a day. We confirm the timeline when we quote.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a Certificate of Compliance?

Yes. In South Africa a Certificate of Compliance is legally required for gas installations. It is also needed for insurance and when you sell your property. We issue one on completion of every job.

Can I convert from electric to gas?

Yes. We convert electric stoves, geysers and heating to LP gas, including the pipework, regulators and cylinder set-up.

Is LP gas safe to use at home?

Yes, when the installation is done by qualified gas fitters to SANS 10087 and inspected regularly. Most incidents come from poor or non-compliant installations.

How often should my installation be inspected?

We recommend an annual safety inspection for domestic installations.
